What to expect:

Podiatry

At your first appointment they will assess your feet and agree a treatment plan with you. Depending on the problem, this plan may include advice on self-care, regular podiatry follow-up or referral for further treatment.

Biomechanical Assessment

A biomechanical assessment involves an examination of the lower limbs, looking at their structure, alignment, strengths and weaknesses. The foot is a complex structure of bones, ligaments and muscles, bearing our body weight as we walk every day. This type of assessment can eliminate a number of secondary issues such as repetitive sports injuries, back, knee and hip pain.

  1. This type of appointment is 1 hour and you will need to wear shorts (or trousers that roll up) and bring a couple of pairs of your day to day shoes, trainers or specific sport-based footwear.
  2. We assess standing, walking/running, joint quality and range of motion, and use our video gait analysis for accuracy.
  3. We use 3D scanning technology to take an impression of your feet to provide bespoke orthotics tailored to your specific needs.
